As a Student Leasing Assistant, I gained expertise in Fair Housing rules and regulations and assisted residents in signing lease agreements. I also lead many community activities and provided customer service to residents and other community members. I assisted in managing resident needs and administrative tasks necessary to ensure the smooth operation of a large housing community.

I volunteered in the Reston Stable Isotope Laboratory for about 7 weeks. While volunteering, I spent time in the lab preparing and running samples through laser mass spectrometers to measure hydrogen and oxygen isotope ratios. I used LIMS software to process data. I also worked on a project in which I used GIS software to model "isoscapes", or maps of isotope ratio data, for hydrogen and oxygen across the US. During the project, I researched better methods for developing isoscapes using mathematical modeling in addition to interpolation.
