At the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, I am majoring in Biology with a minor in Aging and Health in the Commonwealth Honors College. After completion of my undergraduate degree I plan on studying medicine with the goal of becoming a pediatric physician. I am a member of the NCAA DIII Field Hockey team at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I have received many academic recognitions include the Little East Conference Honor Roll for three semesters, the UMASS Dartmouth All Academic Team as well as the National Field Hockey Coaches Association All Academic Squad. In addition to athletics, I have been named to the Dean's List for three semesters and was named an ACCOMPLISH scholar. I enjoy volunteering with local organizations including Gifts to Give, the Kaput Center's STEM4Girls event and Southcoast Youth Courts. I enjoy giving back to my community in ways that empower our future generations. The STEM4Girls event is a powerful way to empower the next generation of women in STEM through providing them with women role models currently studying and working in the STEM field. I strive to be a positive role model for young women pursuing a career in biology and medicine.
