I am a highly motivated college student at Montana State University in Bozeman majoring in Mechanical Engineering and pursuing a minor in Aerospace and Mechatronics. I am consistently seeking challenging and unique learning environments centered around scientific research and innovation in the fields of mechanical engineering, aerospace, and the defense industry. In my search, I have found opportunities working with high altitude balloons and being involved with the National Eclipse Ballooning Project. Through these experiences, I have learned more about project management, research, collaborating with a team, meeting deliverables, and leadership. My goal is to take these experiences with me and contribute to a company looking for a hard working individual who is motivated by success. In addition to these opportunities, I have created opportunities surrounding my passion and knowledge of figure skating as a two-time national competitor. As the co-owner of a small business, I have learned much about entrepreneurship, business management and organization, business financials, marketing, and other facets of small business ownership. Additionally, I am able to apply the skills I am learning in mechanical engineering to the precision machining required in mounting and sharpening figure skating blades and customizing the equipment to meet the client's needs. The experience of co-owning a small business has been challenging and rewarding, and it has taught me a great deal that I will be able to take with my to future opportunities.
