I remember the very first time I had the idea of wanting to become a teacher, I was in my sixth grade classroom and was so inspired by my teacher and how she made me want to learn. I wanted to do exactly what she was doing, I still want to inspire and help motivate students just like her. She helped me love going to school by being fun, encouraging and there for me when I needed someone to motivate me and still motivates me to this day by inviting me into her classroom for my internship. My goal in becoming a teacher is to be an example to my students, and to be a positive figure in their lives. Some of the students that I will most likely teach may not have a positive parent figure in their lives, they may be abused or be neglected due to the fact that their parents have to work a lot to be able to pay the bills. I want to help the children through their life and of course teach them so many other things then the curriculum by example. I have since started to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher by getting into the Jordan Academy for Technology Teacher Education Program. I plan to go to Utah State University in Fall of 2022 and get a degree in elementary education which will also be a main step in becoming an elementary teacher.
