During my time at Chandler Analytical Laboratories, I learned that quality is a vital responsibility; it must be built in at every stage of the process, from identifying the customer’s needs, through planning and implementation right up to the point of reporting analytical results. It must be understood that quality does not occur by accident. The starting point is identifying the customer’s needs and from that a plan must be considered for the processes and resources and application of monitoring controls.
