For two years I worked in the Court of Protection department at Wilkin Chapman. It was a challenging yet rewarding role in which I picked up many important skills. I learnt how to manage tricky court applications and liaise with the Court to achieve the best results for my clients. Being able to manage time and expectations effectively is an important part of the role and one I feel I picked up on quickly and used within day to day tasks. Working closely with clients and family members to obtain their wishes and views throughout our day to day management was something I learnt to keep at the heart of what I did.

For 6 weeks I was able to work closely with the magistrates team in a number of admin roles whilst observing the day to day duties of a defence solicitor.

In this role I worked in a play area and also in an ice cream kiosk that was also part of the company
