I began employment as a secondary music teacher and after a few years moved into senior leadership. I worked in different roles in each school gaining experience in curriculum, behaviour management, professional development, coaching, mentoring, performance management and leading on teaching and learning. More recently I have taken on the leadership of English and have spent the last year as standards lead within our local area hub. This is expanding to leading on standards across the multi academy trust which covers Lowestoft, Cambridge and Ipswich. I have had the chance to work alongside school improvement advisors, as a county moderator for writing and also hold my National Professional Qualification of Headship. I have greatly enjoyed these roles and experiences but I am looking for a fresh, new and invigorating challenge, whether this be within a school, education or wider setting. I have excellent management skills and enjoy leading and teaching others. I am adaptable and versatile to new people and situations and I have a proven history of positive change and improved results.Away from education I have experience in the arts, working as a director and actor in a number of static and touring productions. An accomplished violinist, I spent several years touring with orchestras across Europe and studied music alongside education at Cambridge. To keep me sane, I have a horse and dog and a fiancée who works in IT and film.
