In December 2022, I began a seasonal role working in the team store for the Seattle Kraken during home games. I've enjoyed working in this upbeat, fast-paced environment and providing excellent service in every aspect of the retail experience.

Upon relocating from Lexington, Kentucky, to Seattle, Washington, I joined Copperworks Distilling Company as their first ever marketing manager. Regular duties included overseeing social media content creation and scheduling, coordinating and directing photo shoots, designing physical materials for the tasting rooms, managing donations, developing strategy and materials for new product launches, working closely with a PR team to craft and review press release materials, and developing brand style guidelines.A leader in the emerging American Single Malt whiskey category, Copperworks was in an exciting period of growth and I had the opportunity to lead marketing efforts for a Regulation Crowdfunding campaign as well as the opening of a new tasting room and cocktail bar.

After several years serving various roles in Hospitality and Events, I transitioned into Sales to serve as an onsite liaison for various departments in order to assist in building out and executing the distillery's Single Barrel program. I have been fortunate to continue coordinating and leading elevated industry experiences while also developing the backend logistics for this new program. Tasting whiskey may also be involved...In addition to this exciting role, I have been involved in several other teams and projects around the distillery. This includes creating and delivering a monthly company newsletter, launching and leading the Castle & Key Gives Back Committee (an extracurricular body focused on charitable projects for the local community), participating in the Sensory Panel tastings and trainings, and working closely with the Marketing Team on content, charitable contributions, and more.

My role within the Hospitality Team quickly expanded and became linked to the Sales and Events departments. This came to include representing Castle & Key at off-site tastings, coordinating and executing private events, leading industry-related and VIP experiences at the distillery, and more. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I assisted in organizing donations of hand sanitizer to local first responders and charitable organizations across the country.

I had the unique opportunity to join the Castle & Key team just before the distillery's Grand Opening. Since then, I have been leading and assisting tours on the Castle & Key Experience, which offers an in-depth look at the distillery's history, facilities, spirits, and its future. More recently, I have been leading and assisting tours on the Taylorton Experience, which offers a closer look at Castle & Key's various gin recipes and features hand-crafted cocktails. As a member of the Hospitality Team, I also assist in greeting guests, working in the retail space, maintaining clean facilities and behind-the-scenes organization, and any other tasks relevant to creating an exceptional guest experience.

As an English Language Counselor, I taught ESL courses to French children aged 9 - 15 years old. I also assisted in preparing and leading various theater activities, sports games, and camp programs while providing guidance for the everyday aspects of camp life.As a Head Language Counselor, I carried out the same responsibilities listed above in addition to playing an important role as a liaison between the camp director and the other counselors. My first experience with American Village took place from April to July 2017, and I returned for more sessions in July 2018.

My role as a language assistant was twofold: reinforce English language instruction and promote a cultural exchange. More specifically, my role involved:- Collaborating with professors on lesson subjects and materials- Designing lesson plans that strengthen practical language application- Leading classroom activities to improve conversational skills and oral comprehension- Promoting an understanding of American culture and historyI worked at the secondary level (high school) with students who were both beginners and advanced speakers. While I usually worked with medium-sized groups, I also provided one-on-one instruction.

During my academic career, I had the opportunity to study abroad not just once, but twice! Upon completing my first program abroad, I felt motivated to share my experiences and encourage other students to enrich their own by taking their education overseas. After all, the world itself is the best classroom with the most to offer. My dual role as a representative and a peer advisor allowed me to:- Increase outreach and awareness of study abroad opportunities through public presentations- Help peers discover "the right fit" by sharing knowledge of numerous programs while taking into account the requirements of certain academic disciplines, as well as personal preferences - Guide peers through application and scholarship processes- Assist with pre-departure sessions, organize events and complete office duties

For two years, I had the pleasure of serving as a student ambassador on the Dean's Council of Students*. As an ambassador, my responsibilities included:- Guiding campus and facility tours- Corresponding with prospective and exploratory students- Sharing knowledge of university programs and services at recruitment events- Coordinating, marketing and participating in campus events such as the annual Fall Festival and Cultural Enhancement Series*The Dean’s Council of Students is the ambassadorial group of Potter College of Arts & Letters at Western Kentucky University. DCS is comprised of 20-25 student volunteers majoring in one or more academic disciplines within Potter College. Students involved with the group are competitively selected annually and serve throughout the academic year.
