While at Bassetti Architects, I was a project architect for the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics renovation and addition, consisting of a 19,000 sf two-story addition to accommodate a growing student population, including a new main entrance, admin spaces, general classrooms, science labs, black-box theater, and all-school assembly space, from design development through construction. I am currently working on Rainier Beach High School, a 297,000 sf replacement of an existing campus, located in the most diverse neighborhood in Seattle. The project is targeting LEED Platinum and has been a highly collaborative process with the community, school district, contractor, and design team.

Freelance work completed outside of academic and professional affiliations alongside partner, Nicholas Clesi. A few of the more prominent works completed by C2Designs include single-family residences, the Laurel Ridge Residence and Stoehr Residence in Asheville, NC, as well as the renovation of a historic residence in downtown Hammond, the Zatarain Residence, in which we met with clients, defined program needs, completed schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting, and construction admin services.

During my time at H/S Architects, I gained valuable experience working on all project phases for a range of project types including residential, commercial, civic, educational, historic renovation, urban planning, and interior build-outs. My responsibilities included coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, owner representatives, as well as working with a project team to translate client goals into creative architectural solutions. Notable projects include the adaptive re-use of the historic Baltzell Building in downtown Hammond, as well as the Northshore Technical Community College, Livingston Campus, both of which I managed from design through construction.

Lafayette, La

Participated in the Design+Build program, while in graduate school at ULL. The design team consisted of six students and one professor, in which we designed a single-family residence, the COURhouse, on an urban infill lot in downtown Lafayette. The design took place over the fall semester, and included meeting with potential clients, schematic design, design development, and cost analysis. Construction activities took place over a six-week summer semester, under the supervision of J.C. Dugas Construction. Following the summer construction, J.C. Dugas hired myself and three team members, to complete the construction of the residence. Construction activities included installing foundations, framing, insulation, weather barriers, sheathing, exterior materials (reclaimed cypress siding, windows, doors, and trim), interior finishes, and fabricating custom concrete countertops and steel building components.
