PIants have always been a part of my life, as they are for many. My grandfather was a farmer in Idaho, and I loved helping to pick raspberries and harvest corn. In high school, I competed in multiple Future Farmers of America (FFA) competitions which helped strengthen my love for botany. I am now an undergraduate at Utah State University (USU) pursuing a bachelor's degree in plant science. I plan to start my graduate degree in plant science next year and eventually work in extension services at any land-grant university.I love educating people about agriculture and have experience as a USU teaching assistant in the Plant, Soils, and Climate Department. I also have research experience from the USDA-ARS Forage and Range Research Lab as a biological research aide and leadership expertise as a College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences ambassador at USU. My teaching, research, and leadership skills assist my graduate school and university employment qualifications.I am seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and experience in university extension programs, and I am open to part-time and remote opportunities. I want to take my love and knowledge of agriculture to help educate students and communities.
