I am a Senior at California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo who is currently working towards a BS in Journalism. I have a concentration in Public Relations and pursuing minors in Event Planning and Media Arts, Society and Technology (MAST)I have experience working for Mustang Media group, in various roles such as Arts and Student Life Multimedia Journalist, Special Sections Writer, KCPR Entertainment Reporter, and KCPR Content Writer. Additionally, I had the opportunity to have my own beat as the Performing Arts Center Beat Reporter for Mustang News. This combined two of my passions - writing and the arts. Writing as a beat reporter allowed me to delve deeper into my passions and talk to those who have lived incredible lives. From covering a National Geographic series to musicians and comedians - it gave me the freedom to connect with my community and write the stories I feel need to be told. I grew up doing musical theater and studied it along with acting, dance, and singing from a young age. I was in a total of 13 productions, one of which was professional, and then transitioned to training for TV and Film in Los Angeles. I have various acting credits on networks such as Showtime and Netflix.Lastly, a project I am passionate about is writing my first full-length screenplay. I have spent years researching, getting information, and interviewing sources. It has been a great way to showcase and challenge myself to express writing in a different medium.In addition, I am also a musician and songwriter. In my free time, I enjoy writing, reading, cooking, and playing my guitars.
