Abi spent 10 years working in London for some of the industries top design-led practices. Her experience ranges from small scale garden design, public realm, podium roof terraces to large-scale urban regeneration and masterplanning across the UK and overseas.Originally from the Brecon Beacons Abi grew up surrounded by mountains, woodland, lakes and rivers. Inspired by this landscape, she is passionate, creative and has a keen interest in natural systems and sustainable water management. She believes that good design can have a positive impact on the climate and create spaces that are unique, memorable and timeless. She is most fulfilled when able to utilise her knowledge and skillset working collaboratively with clients and design teams to deliver projects that contribute to people’s health, happiness and wellbeing while addressing key challenges through innovative approaches.Her skills lie within the design process where she brings imagination and creative thinking underpinned by an innovative yet pragmatic approach. Her role as Creative Director ensures all projects within the practice undergo a rigorous design review process ensuring high-quality landscapes that are in line with the Studio’s design philosophy.She founded Lichen Studio with the belief that Landscape Architecture has the power to change the world, one project at a time.
