As a Teaching Assistant for Engineering Analysis, I am responsible for grading assignments including Excel-based work and group projects. I work closely with the professor and fellow TAs with the priority of student success. We utilize our training to effectively teach and clarify complex topics, ensuring the students fully understand the challenging material in their coursework.

In my role at Sheetz, my responsibilities include preparing food, stocking, communicating and problem solving. I am valued for my efficiency and collaborative approaches when working alongside other team members. Within this job, I have developed essential soft skills, which I plan to translate into the field of engineering. Working as part of a team with different backgrounds and skillsets, clear and effective communication became an essential skill that I continue to utilize when collaborating with other students in classes, clubs and research groups. In addition, I have improved upon leadership and the importance of accountability. I have adapted to task delegate while also taking initiative. This experience has strengthened my ability to manage projects and team efficiency, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard. I am extremely thankful for this opportunity, as the supportive community at Sheetz has deepened my appreciation for the power of teamwork and collaboration.

I currently work to enhance machine learning models through curating complex datasets and prompts. This involves using my foundation in engineering principles with the goal to challenge AI's ability. From here, I review model responses based on a given criteria with specific attributes. This in turn improves the system's accuracy and performance.

In the duration of this experience, I served as a language tutor for a French family in Rennes, providing personalized English instruction to enhance their language proficiency. This role allowed me to immerse myself in the rich French culture, fostering a deep understanding of the language nuances. Through this experience, not only did I contribute to their language development, but I also significantly improved my own French speaking abilities.In addition to this, I Initiated a partnership with a local French school, where I shared my passion for science by organizing and serving as a teaching assistant with a focus in STEM related classes. I had the opportunity to converse in both French and English about my life in the US as a student studying to be an engineer. I had the opportunity to collaborate with teachers to devise engaging lessons and projects, strengthening my cross-cultural communication skills.This international opportunity expanded my cultural awareness and adaptability, as it was my first time traveling alone. These experiences have shaped the person I have become. By sharing my story of who I am and who I am working to become, I strengthened the pride I have for the field I am in. It also contributed to the importance I now place in truly listening and understanding diverse perspectives. I am sincerely thankful for this opportunity and the impact it has had on the person I have become.
