Civil / Criminal LitigationLegal Team: Reforms on the Special Economic Zones Pakistan (business & trade laws).I Worked under the direct supervision of Barrister Ahsan Jamal Pirzada. During my internship, I was assigned to a variety of research and writing projects, as well as to assist in practical application of law concerning different criminal and civil cases. For instance, I researched case law on issues involving rape and murder. I conducted extensive research of the Special Economic Zones (SEZ’s) of Pakistan and around the world, a project entrusted to the firm and worked tirelessly towards its completion. Furthermore, I helped draft interrogatories, requests for witnesses and other relevant court applications. I was also one of the first member to volunteer for the Jamal & Jamal Legal Clinic when it came into being in July 2018 and have a keen interest pertaining to the pro bono cases in order to ensure justice for the underprivilege.

I worked in Legislation Wing at the National Assembly (Secretariat) under the direct supervision of the Joint Secretary. I prepared briefs for different presentations and helped in drafting research papers. I closely monitored various standing committees and prepared meeting minutes for them. I keenly observed and learn the working of the legislation wing. My ideas pertaining to the development of various projects were well taken by the members of our team and seniors.
