I am currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Griffith University Gold Coast as well as a semi-professional Netball player. At the conclusion of my degree I plan to transition into the Doctor of Medicine with aspirations of specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology and opening my own practice. My main passion in life is to help and educate. My chosen career path allows me to utilise a range of resources as well as knowledge to improve the community in their current health, as well as prevent future complications. I crave new knowledge and I am always chasing the "why" and following up with "how can I/we do better", I believe these are great qualities for the health industry.I display leadership, effective communication, teamwork, compassion and reliability in my job as a PCYC QLD OHSC Educator and through my elite netball career, coaching and my own studies. Under pressure, I maintain high performance and can execute the required task effectively and efficiently. I have been exposed to a private health practice environment through Families in Focus Psychology and I have learnt many expectations and procedures required. As a Pathology Specimen Collector I utilise clinical skills, medical terminology and interpersonal skills on a daily basis working with patients, GPs, Specialists, medical liaisons and Medical Centre/Hospital staff.
