Responsible for working closely for company's In House Brands with the selected suppliers and managing the companies procurement activities, also providing leadership for the supply chain activities and motivating retail staff to achieve maximum performance and efficiency. Making sure the purchasing department works within all of the companies operational procedures. Main Tasks • Controlling the purchase and supply of all procured items & services.• Negotiating price and terms of products with suppliers.• Managing, Developing & improving the entire supply chain.• Benchmarking performance of the supply chain.• Establishing terms, pricing, quality requirements, delivery and contracts. • Delivering cost savings for the company.• Monitoring delivery times to ensure they are on time.• Managing the procurement supplier relationships for the company.• Adhering to all company policies with particular regard to accounting procedures.• Regularly contacting suppliers to renegotiate prices.• Preparing & processing requestions, purchase orders & invoices for purchases.• Giving sourcing input to colleagues to aid business planning & development.• Developing sourcing strategies, making recommendations & advising senior management on all purchasing issues.• Maintaining records of supplier contracts, agreements, and goods ordered received.• Managing vendor relationships and building effective supply chain partnerships.• Involved in liquidation of ageing merchandise and to maintain optimum stock level.• Finding new vendors so as to lower procurement costs.
