- Evaluated scientific articles on childhood exposures to asbestos, while also focusing on environmental contamination and ambient levels of asbestos in urban and rural areas. With this research, I wrote 15 article reviews that were used by the Primary Investigator to submit a successful grant proposal.- Conducted a literature search of primary literature on asbestos abatement and exposures during demolition activity that returned 70 articles. I then retained 35 articles and authored article reviews to write a 20-page literature review that summarized research methods, exposure levels, and demolition procedures.- Coordinated with the Principal Investigator to develop project goals and timelines and communicate research progress and outcomes.- Coded qualitative noise exposure data from industry and input values into excel for future statistical analysis.- Collaborated with a medical student to collect personal and area noise samples in American religious institutions to evaluate noise exposure during religious services.- Analyzed video samples and coded hazardous behaviors and potential exposures during worker activity for informal electronic waste (e-waste) operations in Chile and Thailand.

- Conducted quantitative air monitoring during bulk pharmaceutical manufacturing to determine operator's potential inhalation exposure to insulin crystals. - Monitored noise levels for three packaging lines during 24-hour brewery operations to report workers’ average noise exposure and area noise levels. Compared the noise levels to compliance standards and published a technical PowerPoint presentation to communicate outcomes to executive directors and employees. - Inventoried over 300 chemicals for maintenance and downtown restaurant operations to generate an index and obtained updated safety data sheets, thus maintaining compliance with hazard communication standards.- Updated safety inspection manuals for forklift operation for the powered industrial truck safety group, contributing to more informed forklift operators and a streamlined inspection process.- Contributed updates and solutions to cross-departmental groups for chemical management, safety incident review, and the volunteer employee safety organization. - Developed two safety presentations on confined space awareness and heat exhaustion for continuous, required training for brewery personnel. - Acted as the subject matter expert (SME) to publish a training module on bloodborne pathogens for required training through the learning management system.- Inventoried personal protective equipment (PPE) and submitted bi-weekly orders to the purchasing department to provide protection for employees.
