Planning Technician
CurrentI am a Planning Technician, responsible for supporting urban and regional planning efforts through a variety of technical and administrative tasks. I gather and analyze data related to land use, zoning, and environmental factors, often using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to create maps and visualizations. I review development proposals to ensure compliance with zoning laws and assist in the permitting process. I also engage with the public and stakeholders, coordinating consultations, meetings, and communications. Additionally, I contribute to policy research and documentation, helping to prepare planning reports and strategies. I monitor development projects to ensure they follow regulations and timelines, while providing ongoing project support to senior planners.
