Part of the JLL’s project & development services (PDS) team, responsible for managing and delivering commissioning projects, liaising with team members, consultants, and other stakeholders to assist commissioning & building analytics (CBA) team in leading cross-functional teams on various projects and monitor, review & execute all facets of commissioning.

• Manage Commissioning projects, including projects and buildings of moderate size or complexity.
• Function as the owner advocate and provide excellent Commissioning services and project management.
• Prepare, document, and report Commissioning data for all projects that are delivered to the department.
• Contact external clients and obtain information such as design, product, schedule and contact information.
• Assemble, tabulate and report field data collected as part of the Commissioning process.
• Develop repeatable, scalable systems to enable efficient processing of data and reporting on future projects.

• Perform testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems using specialized and calibrated instruments to measure system performance following National balancing.
• Communicate with the design engineers to clarify changes in design, and provide a technical explanation on the causes impeding a system to reach design performance.
• Coordinate the site visits and work schedule with the mechanical firm installer, the general contractor, the building operations firm, or the owner.
• Perform system adjustments using balancing dampers, circuit balancing valves, VFDs (variable frequency drives) to ensure designed performance.
• Read and interpret system blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and performance data to determine the proper configuration and arrangement of system components.
• Work responsibly and as a team member in the field to diagnose, adjust, test, and balance mechanical equipment including but not limited to: exhaust fans, air handling units, heating chilled water pumps to achieve.

Air surveys, balancing & hydronic testing. Air and hydronic TAB. Performing air and hydronic measurements on the HVAC systems and adjusting the flows as required to achieve optimum performance of the building environmental equipment. The balancing is usually based upon the design flow values required by the mechanical engineer for the project, and the TAB.
