Work under and alongside the nursing team to perform assessments of patients to identify changes in physiological and neurological wellbeing. As a primary head and neck unit, I have gained tremendous experience in trach care, ostomy care, suctioning. PEG tubes, JP and accordion drains. Experienced in foley insertion, phlebotomy including IV placement and cultures, central line dressing changes and more. Also gained a strong understanding in subtle sepsis trends, including identifying first stage patients, and correlating lab results with subjective and other data to suspect and alert for possible metastasis. Active experience with code procedures, crash cart, and stat page protocol.

7th floor Neurology ICU Stepdown. Provide care to patients with various neurological conditions, including ischemic stroke, cancer of the brain, bone and lungs, Multiple Sclerosis, and mental health disorders attributing to neurological dysfunction. Fields covered include, but not limited to: Administration of medications and sub-q, DM injections. Psychosocial support including guided meditation/imagery, motivated interviewing, and massage. Promoting quiet environment for healing, consolidating patient care, and health promotion. Monitoring labs for trends in patient health, reconciling medication for appropriate tx, and collaborate with UAPs and RNs to identify critical information to communicate to provider.

5th floor Med Surg unit. Experience in ostomy care, dressing changes, enema administration, wound care, IV & IV piggyback, linen changes, transferring, bathing, toileting, patient education, and EPIC charting, including SBAR communication. Experience in kidney injuries including AKI and CKD, cardiological conditions including MI, HTN, CHF, and CAD, cancer, and post-surgical patients of various backgrounds.

Behavioral Health Unit (BHU)Performed MHEs on new patients. Created care plans to address the social, financial and emotional needs of patients. Utilized motivational interviewing and therapeutic communication to promote desire for change and address barriers. Direct experience with depression, suicidal ideation, Bipolar disorder, ADHD, Autism, Schizophrenia, alcoholism and drug abuse. Strong knowledge of deescalation tactics and interventions to protect patients and promote safety.

Med Surg. Performed Head to Toe assessments on patients. Created evidence-based concept maps & care plans to promote patient health. Collaborated with RN to provide optimal care and assist in patient emergencies, including utilization of crash cart and DVT/PE prophylaxis.

Transfer after move to Michigan. Lead server for restaurant. Engaged with coworkers as team, motivating new employees and socializing with group. Performed excellent care to guests, picking up shifts as needed. Organized and executed deep cleaning of restaurant tabletops over the course of three days to address guest complaints and concerns.

Consistently ranked Top 3 in restaurant for both sales and customer satisfaction reviews. Trained new servers in policy, procedures and expectations of role, including OSHA and safety.
