Sun Books is an initiative of the World Literacy Foundation, a global not for-profit organization working in the United States, United Kingdom, South America, Australia and Africa.Sun Books is set to support teachers and children in Nigeria with the digital learning content on the Sun Books tablet. This is aimed at helping the many children who are studying in an underserved school in Lagos. These children can access over 400 e-books and educational content regardless of internet or mobile connection!

I currently train teachers of private and public primary and secondary schools on improved pedagogical and digital skills, especially as it relates to the 21st Century expertise needed to handle learners effectively in the classroom.I have facilitated online training sessions for over 100 teachers of Ogun State, Borno State and the FCT on the improvement of teachers’ pedagogical and digital skills.Quality online mentorship and support was given to the trained teachers to ensure that the training site is easily navigated.I organised online revision classes for the trained teachers throughout the training periods.The learning outcome of the trained teachers was monitored and assessed through the administration of Initial Evaluation Survey, Mid-training Assessments and the Final Evaluation Survey.I communicate and submit daily and weekly training reports.

As a Program Coordinator, I:Maintained and led a group of 20 prospective fellows virtually. Led virtual engaging and relevant enrichment sessions at the Virtual Summer Training Institute.Facilitated virtual discussions in a group and learning circle of 20 prospective fellows.Ensured that prospective fellows attended all live sessions and performed all assigned tasks during the Virtual Summer Training Institute. Provided planning support to prospective fellows by reviewing lesson plans and providing feedback and mentoring.Observed mock teaching sessions of prospective fellows and gave adequate feedback and support to ensure that they are well equipped with the 21st century skills needed to teach effectively.Promoted a safe and positive virtual learning environment.Created and maintained cohort culture through series of virtual bonding activities with other institute groups.Communicated and submitted a daily and weekly report of participants’ academic and emotional progress.Modelled positive and proactive attitudes, behaviours, and language during online sessions.Maintained accurate attendance records and reporting procedures throughout the Virtual Summer Training Institute.Collated and submitted a comprehensive performance report of all the prospective fellows assigned to me at the end of the Virtual Summer Training Institute.
