I had the wonderful opportunity to work alongside several teams of individuals to sort, assemble and package stock depending on the job requirements. It tested my physical abilities as well as my mental ability to perform various tasks simultaneously. There were multiple responsibilities which I had to perform depending on the specific product. The common tasks were to supply multiple tables with product before being packaged and sent on a conveyor for packaging. A huge aspect of this job was being able to keep consistent for several hours at a fast pace, which I had achieved by consistently obtaining over 100% in efficiency ratings. Through this position, I have also learned the functions of major packaging equipment, including but not limited to case sealers, L-bar sealers, conveyor belts and heat shrink tunnels. Diagnosing and performing minor repairs to these machines was an acquired skill. Repairs include ensuring build-ups were cleared off the mechanisms, hardware integrity was maintained as well as regulating belt tension. I believe that my experience in this packaging factory grew my knowledge of industrial equipment and received further insight of mechanical equipment.

Lumberjack Developments allowed for me to use and acquire various skills and abilities. I learned methods to safely handle power tools and equipment to complete jobs. Tools and equipment including but not limited to mitre saws, impact drill/wrenches, pneumatic impact wrenches, reciprocating saws as well as pneumatic chisels. I have learned about various components that are required to renovate buildings and homes. Acquired the ability to install garage door openers, overhead garage shelving and completing plumbing preparation. This position continues to teach, inspire and push me to apply myself to seek results.
