Currently I am acting as the Head of Corporate Compliance - Internal Assurance, working in the Corporate Compliance Unit managing the internal audit process, having compliance oversight of the University's statutory returns as well as working closely with colleagues in other compliance areas such as risk management, business continuity and major incident planning. I am a PRINCE2 qualified, experienced Project and Contracts Manager having previously worked within the Funding Compliance Office (FCO) at the University of Wolverhampton, where I managed a portfolio of over £16m of European and Growth Deal projects, including high value multi-funded capital projects. In my role with the FCO, I provided technical advice and guidance in funding regulations relating to Local Growth Funding and ERDF project / programme funding and delivery whilst also supporting the University's strategic vision through successful partnership management. I am experienced in the successful delivery, audit and closure of funded projects (multi-partner and multi-funder) and also have a background in Project Management and Event Management.Outside of my day job I also the current Treasurer for the UK Academy for Information Systems (UKAIS) providing full financial oversight of the academy's finances and managing the day-to-day financial activities.

The IPSS programme supported businesses through the early stages of developing a new product or process. The programme, part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) was specifically designed to support businesses developing new products. My role as the Project Manager was to ensure that the project outputs were achieved according to EU funding regulations and within the timeframe of the funding period. The project had a number of partners which needed close performance management along with all aspects of project management. There has been a successful application made to ESIF for a £2.4 million continuation project which has already started delivery. I am currently managing this project start-up This project will have delivery in a number of different LEP areas through a number of different delivery partners.
