I am working with A Better Tent City (ABTC) to develop a qualitative research project examining what makes an encampment managed and ways to replicate ABTC’s success in providing homes to individuals experiencing homelessness in order to solve housing problems in new ways. This is a continuation of work completed in the classroom. I coordinate participant recruitment, prepare and conduct interviews, engage in data analysis and develop an understanding of stakeholders/partners relations.

I am assisting in a research study for Spectrum and the City of Kitchener evaluating 2SLGBTQ+ inclusivity training of members of the City of Kitchener and the public to build collaboration and strengthen EDI across the sector. I administer pre and post-surveys to evaluate the competency of inclusivity training and conduct semi-structured interviews to explore perspectives related to the program's impact on community belonging to develop recommendations for program improvements alongside a team.
