Chosen from 5,400+ applicants for NBA analytics leadership development program, gaining mentorship, networking, and real-world NBA insights. Developed a model to accurately price NBA seating to align with the ticketing market in real time, which was selected as a finalist for presentation to a panel of NBA executives.

I analyzed existing models designed to predict athlete medal expectancy in order to refine and optimize them for accuracy and runtime. By testing the models and providing reasonable ranges of expected accuracy, I gave the performance innovation team the data needed in order to field questions from national sport governing bodies and to make changes to the model’s running parameters in order to maximize accuracy without compromising runtime significantly.

My fellowship with WIST placed me as an intern with the USOPC Performance Innovation team, as well as provided me with valuable mentoring with other women in the world of sports tech.

Working in management in the bicycle industry as a female is a unique and fun experience, as I have the opportunity to move beyond mere retail experience, in training new employees, learning the business aspects of the industry, and in making use of my graphic design and photography skills in developing marketing materials for the store. More than anything, I enjoy working at Summit City Bicycles at Fitness because it enables me to network with the cycling community, talk about bicycles all day every day, and also be a part of the community by working to involve more people (and especially more women) in cycling.
