My mission in life is to leave a positive impact on the world. It can be as simple as giving a cashier a smile and asking about their day, or as complex as changing how we practice medicine and understand life through genomics. I'm lucky that I get to work at a place like IDT, and formerly at Illumina, where empowering others to change the world is just another day in the life.I approach life (and work) with two principles - communicate and be passionate - and I've gotten the chance to apply these while working at Illumina and IDT. On the Brand Strategy team at Illumina I had the opportunity to shape how Illumina communicates on a global stage. On the Product Care Sales team I helped make sure that our customer's had their instruments taken care of through proactive communication. During my time on the Inside Sales team I was able to help communicate how Illumina can help take an idea company to the next level through the help of genomics. At IDT I get to help enable researchers to move from the lab to life-changing advances leveraging the unique oligos, Next-Generation Sequencing library prep kits, synthetic biology (gene and gene fragments), qPCR assays, CRISPR, and more. All while getting to work with people who want to see genomics change the world as much as I do.When I'm not working you can find me doing something active somewhere outside - from yoga to surfing to softball to basketball to golf to skiing to walking the beach - or cooking a meal with my beautiful wife to entertain for family/friends.
