Fortune 100 Financial Sector Client:▪ Built python scripts on an EMR cluster and Databricks that executed any SQL queries passed into it on Presto or Snowflake, then returned the results to a centralized metadata store via REST APIs.▪ Developed python scripts to manage an in-house metadata store via REST APIs. This included creating, modifying, and deleting data quality rules for datasets (tables).▪ Performed ETL development using Hive SQL on Linux CLI based EMR clusters.▪ Completed testing on all Hive SQL scripts written through an in-house developed process.▪ Became development lead for a team of engineers and onboarded new engineers to the team providing guidance on appropriate development methodology and documentation.▪ Integrated DataDog and Splunk monitoring solutions into data pipelines.▪ Designed Splunk dashboards around logs captured in AWS CloudWatch from Lambda functions, EMR clusters, and EC2 instances.▪ Updated Python scripts to ensure appropriate logging steps were in place for more accurate monitoring within Splunk.
