- Optimize Pyxis machine medication par levels as needed to help prevent stock-outs, optimize pharmacy replenishment work-flow, and improve patient care by ensuring nursing has an adequate supply of needed medication- Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain BD CareFusion Pyxis automated medication dispensing cabinet systems during normal operation and emergency operations both independently and by working with BD Field Service Technicians as necessary- Troubleshoot BD CareFusion Pyxis Logistics software and optimize/build storage spaces into our Vertical Carousels for medication stock inventory- Troubleshoot BD CareFusion Pyxis CII Safe system- Manage access to pharmacy technology software systems and server access for pharmacy staff and nursing- Triage emergencies in regards to pharmacy technology and provide contingencies during system outages- Act as pharmacy liaison whenever non-pharmacy personnel require access to our systems- Move and set up Pyxis ADMs during emergency responses including, but not limited to during COVID hospital emergencies- Troubleshoot BD CareFusion Pharmopack software, run/export reports from Pharmopack software, and analyze data to optimize workflow for pharmacists and technicians- Utilize EPIC, Pyxis ES, and BD Pyxis Logistics to validate new drug NDCs/Barcodes into our health system drug database- Work with pharmacy procurement team to optimize par levels in pharmacy carousels and NDC optimization for ordering/packaging- Analyze large spreadsheets from multiple data sources in Microsoft Office Excel while using pivot tables, vlookups, and power queries.- Utilize Microsoft Office Access to create databases to organize and optimize multiple, large data spreadsheets- Visualize multiple large sets of data using Microsoft Power BI to create powerful visuals that can be used to explain where costs savings can be made

- Triage calls from both inside and outside of the hospital, responsible for recognizing and responding to STAT protocol medications, respond to EPIC medication messages- Run EPIC reports to preventatively load medications in units and optimize drug orders- Utilize Pyxis ES to run hospital medication usage reports, deliver medications to Pyxis med stations, and work with nursing to ensure timely delivery of doses- Work in and manage the delivery of controlled substances from the C-II narcotic vault, ensure accurate and timely replenishment of controlled substances in Pyxis machines- Accurately compound both non-sterile USP 795 oral compounds and sterile USP 797 IV admixtures; chart and maintain accurate daily cleaning logs in Simplifi 797 to ensure compliance- Teach USP 795 non-sterile compounding course for the YNHH health system and train new hires in oral compounding- Maintain accurate inventory counts of medications inside of Pharmogistics Carousels and in Pyxis med stations, track outdated through Pyxis ES reports, and work with purchasing department to reconcile insufficient drug quantities- Train new staff in pharmacy workflow both in central, decentralized, non-sterile/sterile compounding, and controlled substance processes
