Led Hershey’s global Media Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility, Employee Communications, Philanthropy and Community Relations, and Marketing Communications functions, with responsibility for a team of 3 direct reports, 8 employees, and a $5M operating budget.▪ Created and led Hershey’s Corporate Social Responsibility department, and published the company’s first Corporate Social Responsibility reports. ▪ Led global communications in addressing the complex issue of child labor in cocoa production and in proactively announcing that Hershey will certify all cocoa purchases by 2020 making Hershey a global leader in certified sourcing. ▪ Led the “Bringing Goodness to the World” global communications campaign to open Hershey’s first large-scale chocolate making plant in a century, advancing the company’s reputation for responsible citizenship.▪ Created unique distance learning program that, since 2012, has connected hundreds of Milton Hershey School students in Pennsylvania with students in Ghana through a virtual classroom.▪ Represented Hershey as Treasurer of the World Cocoa Foundation (2009 – 2011) and Member of the International Cocoa Initiative Board of Directors (2008 – Present)
