Instrumental in the development of Chandigarh, Mohali and surrounding areas in Punjab by making available the basic essential ingredient - cement - for housing and industrial development at fair price even during the time of shortages. I have always believed in the principle of Fair Trade Practices.- We were the pioneers of any kind of trading activity in Mohali in 1965 - and supplied the first bag of cement for the development of Mohali.- All major industry in District Ropar ( including Mohali ) was built with cement provided by us.- We were also associated with construction of Warehouses of Markfed within the state of Punjab.- We pioneered the trend of C & F Agents of any industry in India by being among the first C & F Agents for ACC Cement in the country.

Northern India Chamber of Commerce & Industry was established during 1905 in Lahore by Lala Lajpat Rai, HariKrishen Lal Gauba and others as Desi Beopar Mandal.After partition of India in 1947, it initially shifted its Headquarters to Ambala and subsequently to Chandigarh.My achievements :- Pioneered the trend of holding Consumer Exhibitions in Chandigarh by organising the first ever such exhibition in Chandigarh called : OFFICE EQUIPMENT EXHIBITION - 1983-84.- Conducted numerous seminars, workshops and meetings of Trade, Industry, Government and Bankers for the benefit of trade, commerce & industry..- Organised meetings of the Importers/Exporters at Chandigarh and Punjab with Trade Commissioners of various foreign Embassies in India.- Organised Industrial Film shows in collaboration with JETRO, Japan in various places in Chandigarh and Punjab.- Regularly published the monthly Chamber Journal - a trade journal - which brought accolades from trade and industry circles.
