For my senior year winter work internship I worked at Glosten as a Marine Engineer Intern. I worked on a handful of projects each challenging in there own ways. My work entailed defining and designing shipboard systems, performing calculations and specifying equipment, modeling the systems in Rhino 3D and AutoCAD, and developing system technical specifications. I got a lot of responsibility on one project in particular, which as an intern always feels very rewarding. I was in charge of developing a vessel's initial EPLA, one-line, weights and centers estimate, machinery arrangement, lighting arrangement, and defining several shipboard systems along with the necessary documentation. This internship at Glosten was a very rewarding experience and allowed me to learn more about ship design.I plan on returning in September of 2024 for a full time position as a Staff Marine Engineer at Glosten. I worked on taking redlines from the production floor and integrating them into the current CAD models to make production cheaper or go faster. The M/V Stolt Confidence is an Oil/Chemical Tanker that calls to Houston, USA; Antwerp, Belgium; Rotterdam, Netherlands. For my Freshmen Winter Work at Webb, I found work at General Dynamics NASSCO. While at NASSCO I worked as an Outside Machinist aligning equipment, landing machinery, making repairs, and preparing machinery on and for NASSCO's new construction ships T-AO 205 and T-AO 206. The 205 launched in the water in January and was in SOC 6 along with 206 which was still on its way. As the Technology Lead and a Production Associate, I work on developing and managing the technology behind our organization as well as working with the production team to prepackage all orders before they are filled and shipped. I also deal with our customer service.

As the Technology Lead for the organization I work on developing and managing the technology behind our organization. I make sure on the tech side of stuff everything is going right. I also deal with the customer service side of things and helping all our wonderful customers.

As a seasonal worker, I have been trained in being a Check lane Advocate to help check out customers or help them at self-checkout. Additionally, with any time I was able to get away from the cash register, I was helping out at guest services as well as working with Team Leads to push re-shop and organizing the front of store.
