At Craftsmen Industries, I write, edit and directly send proposals responding to received RFPs to clients. Once approval is received, I assist in the coordination and implementation of producing proposed ideas into tangible marketing mediums. I communicate regularly with clients to ensure their budgets, deadlines and any various needs are recognized. I organize and attend internal and client meetings to sustain these needs. Students gain real-world agency experience developing and implementing campaigns for a variety of local clients. With the collaboration of other Innovative Public Relations members, I developed a campaign for the rebrand of the University of Central Missouri Office of Sustainability. My team conducted multiple brainstorming sessions and pitched our final ideas to the client. Creating a strong social media presence for the Office of Sustainability was a large part of the campaign. I wrote, edited and distributed strategically-planned content for Innovative Public Relations and Office of Sustainability's Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and blog accounts. I evaluated the social media content and executed research to increase interaction and followers. Finally, I created a social media content plan for the OOS members to follow.As a team, we used campus resources and free branding resources such as Facebook and Twitter to stay within our client's budget. I maintained the relationships by engaging in two-way conversations about the overall past, present and future of UCM. These connections motivated alumni to support the foundation ultimately benefiting the university. After communicating effectively with alumni for nearly three years, I was promoted to a mentor position. In addition to my "Phonathon" caller responsibilities, I acted as a liaison between managers and coworkers to ensure a successful work environment. I participated in hands-on training with new employees. I prepared them to effectively build relationships with alumni. I evaluated employee calls and provided feedback to further improve their communication. I also led team meetings to inform of news, brainstorm improvements for work environment, build relationships between coworkers and keep up morale. Show less

With the help of Warrensburg business owners and community volunteers, the Main Street team directs events, meetings and renovations fitted to achieve their main objective. With research and clear communication, I successfully worked within the organization’s budget and deadlines. Social media played a significant part in promoting these events. I wrote, edited and distributed strategic Facebook and Twitter content tailored to encourage the Warrensburg community to participate in or attend the events. Other social media posts included promotion of downtown businesses. I developed and updated content for the website designed specifically for Burg Fest.I designed promotional posters and flyers for the events with Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Publisher. These mediums were displayed in local businesses and funneled throughout the community. I created and distributed weekly e-newsletters to keep local business owners and organization members informed on local news, meetings and events.
