A member of the corporate communications team at international defence and aerospace company Leonardo. I lead the media relations team for Leonardo UK, a multi-billion pound business with 8,200 employees nationwide and a global customer base. By delivering great communications across multiple channels, the team supports long-term brand positioning and directly contributes to the success of business winning campaigns.My role also encompasses marketing communications activities across a range of strategic international programmes in which Leonardo UK is a partner. The team and I work transnationally, cross-divisionally and with industry and government partners to define and communicate our narrative. This includes representing Leonardo UK communications in the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) and the Eurofighter Typhoon programme, two of the UK's most vital (and exciting!) defence partnerships. I have 17 years' experience including 15 years in media relations, marketing communications and crisis management. This includes representing the Leonardo group communications team at numerous international trade shows, with experience in the Middle East, Indo Pacific and Europe. I lead the delivery of media training across our organisation and provide narrative development and speechwriting for our senior leadership team, including our CEO.
