About my role: I am responsible for supporting the deal pricing for new business opportunities in the automotive industry. In this complex pricing world, I am striving to meet customer expectations on price proposals, ensuring a solid gross profit margin is generated for TomTom. For setting up price proposals BUA leverages from a pricing database that I maintain and extend with closed won deals. Attempting to simplify the pricing process, I am investigating in the automation of the process making it easier for the Pricing Specialist to cope with the high volume of pricing proposals and frequent changes. Additionally I am supporting the Bid Management Team with monitoring and managing the Commercial Governance mailbox. Alerting teams to new deals, sending out deal outcomes and setting up deal reviews by working closely together with the Bid and Account Managers is part of my daily business. Pricing is a competency I learned from scratch as it is different from all the other finance related tasks I previous gained experience in. It adds up to my expertise in the overall financial sector and helps me to enhance my knowledge in different areas of finance.

About my role: I backfilled a Revenue Analyst postition in Business Unit Automotive being responsible for task in month-end close e.g. revenue analysis, revenue dashboard maintenance and accrual bookings. Besides, I was writing my Bachelor’s thesis on topic of „Implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and AI into financial month-end closing“ and I was part of an internal working group aiming to improve financial processes within TomTom.

About my role: As an intern in BUA Finance department I was assigned to a project which is about improving the governance and analyzability of software development project budget reporting tools. My project deliverables are to improve the efficiency of the project financial reporting, create a training guide for user of the tool, so called Webinar and setting up a documentation of controls and assumptions underlying project year and lifetime budgets. Additionally, I support the Finance Team in ad hoc requests related to month end close, software project budgets and business cases. Update January 2019: I took over tasks from a colleague leaving the company, e.g. revenue analysis, revenue dashboard maintenance and accrual bookings. The organization counts 30 active members divided into 4 teams. As an incoming member of JCNetwork, an umbrella association for student-run consultancies, the team works together with local business partners to team up and achieve business goals. About my role: Since October 2016 I was part of IB Consulting e.V. realizing projects with business partners and supporting the Finance Team. In 2017 I was elected the Head of Team Finance and Law, where I was responsible for the organization’s accounting and coordination of activities. Additionally, I acted as a principle contact person for financial issues in business projects.

With more than 700 Technology People around the world, SW Headquarters is located in the south of Germany.About my role: I assisted the controlling department in the time frame stated above as well as during semester breaks 2016 and 2017 (4 months). I worked independent as part of the team, assisting in daily business and ad hoc requests which honed my IT knowledge as well as my analytical skills.
