Thanks to the Children’s Hospital Foundation granting me 12 months leave, I am currently working within Children’s Health Queensland as the professional lead for the Kids First program. I work alongside a clinical lead and together we guide approximately 50 projects aimed at improving patient experience, workforce experience, and process and procedures.- Kids First is about Queensland Children’s Hospital getting ready for the future.- We are finding ways to improve each moment of our patient journey.- By acting now, we can ensure we’re always putting kids first.

Based onsite within Queensland Children's Hospital, my team and I design and deliver the Impact Programs offered under Children's Hospital Foundation. I have led the creation of our Impact and Outcomes Frameworks which ensures we are directed by the needs and voices of patients, families, and hospital staff. My role requires me to balance priorities across a diverse of mix of stakeholders, providing technical skills and direction with the view of assisting business thinking and solutions. I lead a team of 150+ staff and volunteers, translating business objectives into clear streams of work that align with strategy and purpose. We connect with over 120,000 people each year in need of social and well-being support during one of the most challenging times of their lives. Program governance is key to our success and I am proud of our commitment to providing the greatest impact, making the biggest difference, and being inclusive of all people who walk, roll or are carried through the doors of Queensland's only tertiary level paediatric hospital.

My position at Children’s Hospital Foundation has evolved to be considerate of the broader patient experience, an integral part to achieving our Mission; For every sick child to have the best possible health care, with access to world-class research and clinical treatment in a healing environment. My role allows me to deep dive into the impacts of our services, identifying improvements and new opportunities to help patients at all stages of their journey. It’s my honour and responsibility to take this information and translate it into innovative, sustainable and impactful systems of support. This work is underpinned by the lived experience of patients and families and the expertise of hospital staff, gathered by a consumer led approach to research and collaborating throughout every stage of a project. I continue to work on over 40 events across the hospital, corporate sector and broader community, placing me in a position to see firsthand some of the incredible impact the Foundation achieves. I’m incredibly proud to be supporting a number of Children’s Health Queensland and Queensland Children’s Hospital departments in their events and activations, raising awareness, educating the community and recognising achievements in their space. This includes Music Therapy, Social Work – Indigenous Services, Palliative Care, Bereavement Care, Child Protection and Gender Clinic. I am incredibly humbled to be working with the Children's Hospital Foundation. This is a dream role that allows me to use my expertise to have a direct impact on improving the hospital experience of patients and families. The Children's Hospital Foundation make sure that sick kids don’t miss out on the things they love. As Events Manager, it is my job to bring these experiences to the hospital environment, be it Easter, the Ekka, Christmas and more.

I have recently been assisting a small business trader build their own brand as well as that of their clients in the hospitality and tourism industry across Australia and possibly into Singapore in the coming months.- Strategic consulting including partnership and engagement strategies, business evolution plan and resource management.- Securing a new partnership agreement for a client to the value of $40,000 for a 4mth campaign.- Conception, planning and delivery of a VIP Christmas function including invitations, venue, catering, entertainment.- Production of partnership proposals, renewal of agreements and negotiation of terms.- Social media advertising and strategy development ready to hand over to the clients for internal ownership.- Development of 2017 experiential campaigns focusing on a blend of real world and digital inclusion by target market.

This position certainly classified as hitting the jackpot as far as short term contracts go. I was brought in to the TAFE Brisbane marketing team in a 6 week short term capacity to plan and coordinate their creative industries premiere event, CRE8 Brisbane 2016.Starting almost from scratch, I was responsible to liaising with over 20 internal stakeholders to design a large scale activation which included art exhibitions, immersive and virtual reality experiences, live bands, roaming street artists, catering, fashion and more. As project manager for this event I also managed the following:- Social media content- Creative design review- Budget management- Resource planning- VIP invitation management - Student engagement

In 2014 Westfield Garden City underwent a large scale redevelopment. The key role of this position was to design, drive and deliver a regular events program partnering with major retail brands, community groups and celebrity ambassadors.- Delivering a 6 week launch campaign including project management of a 250 event program- Management of media at events- Risk and Security management of activations- End to end management of experiences and activations- Partnership management- Social media planning- Systems development- Event leader for Scentregroup QLD Golf Day for 2 years raising over $280K.

I was appointed to this position following a restructure of the sales and marketing departments who were lacking in strategies and processes. I succeeded in developing event management processes, improving staff morale (average retention rate improved from 12-18mths to 3yrs), and increasing sales revenue by 40% over 3yrs to 1200 events per year. - Creating efficient and cost effective processes- Supplier relationship management and negotiations- Developing new business to successfully achieve a significant increase is sales - Develop and implement sales strategies resulting in high conversion rates and a loyal client base- Partnership and sponsorship management for inhouse fundraising events - Social media and blog content creation- Rebranding the Victoria Park complex through all mediums and outlets- Managing a team of 7

I was offered this position when moving to a new city. I was employed as the sole Business Development Manager for Novotel Brisbane across corporate but focusing on MICE. This role was amended during the GFC to focus on corporate accommodation contracts.

Working as BDM for the 5 star properties, Sea Temple Resort & Spa Palm Cove and Port Douglas. During my time with this company I was primarily responsible for successfully growing the MICE market.
