The purpose is to provide a public interface to this massive amount of data, and facilitate permanent archiving of life sciences research funded in the U.S. and abroad.The objective of the group I belonged to was/is to safely and effectively convert and archive the 16,000+ full text XML scientific journal articles per month in a permanent way, and to produce consistent HTML rendering of those titles in a cross-browser product.
