Before joining Merrill in 1980 as a Financial Advisor, Abe worked at Paine Webber and Prudential Bache Securities, where he began in auditing (after launching his accounting career by specializing in auditing broker dealer firms). Abe is a native of Chicago who graduated from Chicago's Roosevelt University and played on the school's basketball team. Today, Abe and his wife, Renee, are proud parents of four children and live in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.
