Starting my career in the boat building industry in 1998 as a Fairer for Pro-Fair. With my excellent Management Skills, Dedication, Diligence, Efficiency and mastering new skills quickly, I was promoted to Team Leader within a few short months. I became intrigued with Boat Building when we assisted with the lamination of Farr 72'​ called Far Out at Southern Wind Shipyard. I started as a Laminator in 1999 at Southern Wind Shipyard and was soon put in charge of running the Wet-Out Machine, Quality Control and Stock Control for the Laminating Department, learning a great deal about all the different composite materials. I was then promoted to Leading Hand for 80'​ Deck in 2001. Joining Acheson Rossa Custom Yachts, I got my first taste in Sailboat Racing world. I was involved in numerous projects including Shearwater 45'​, Ker 55'​ (IRC) and Gunboat 48'​ (hi-tech catamaran). My desire to build hi-tech Composite boats led me to join Team Shosholoza for the 32nd America's Cup.It became apparent that I have found my passion and quickly gained knowledge and skills to further my career. I then decided to move abroad and joined Hakes Marine Ltd in 2007 in New Zealand. Here I was involved with Open 60'​ Aviva, Ecover 3 and TP 52'​ Audi Q8, after which I was promoted to Leading hand of all internal structures and components for Haspa Hamburg GER6300, Humphreys 54'​, SL33 Catamaran and Kiwi FC40'​. I was then put in charge of construction of Orma 40'​ Trimaran Kit-set.After working at Core Builders Composites, where I was involved with the construction of AC45'​ Sports Catamarans for the 35th America's Cup, I was recruited to infuse a 54' Enclosed Express Sports Fishing Yacht Hull and the transom and most of the internal structure. I am also training the staff on infusion and correct application of advanced Composites in the hopes of changing the way sports fishing boats and yachts are built, making them stronger, more stable and with less long term maintenance.
