Rwanda

• Representation, coordination and liaison of AutRC towards Rwanda Red Cross leadership, operational staff, ICRC, IFRC, other Movement Partners and external stakeholders. • Support NS in achieving project cycle management results timely and professionally in regard to AutRC funded projects. • Ensure that AutRC funded projects are delivered to a high technical standard in line with AutRC and donor regulations. • Ensure financial supervision, quality control and monitoring of AutRC supported programs and providing regular progress reports to the AutRC HQ. • Develop new programmes and identifying strategic program initiatives based on strategic priorities of RRCS and AutRC considering the needs in country. • Identify funding opportunities and movement partnerships for current and future AutRC engagement in Rwanda.• Lead and manage the AutRC Office in Rwanda including all administrative issues and ensuring a proper security set-up.• Provided technical backstopping for HNS and partners in the area of WASH • Assist the NS to develop systems to ensure the project management and rigorous monitoring of the WASH programme.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Provide oversight to Austrian Red Cross (AutRC) programs in Ethiopia through support to project implementation, development of effective relations with donors and partners, mentoring and supporting the Ethiopian Red Cross team and mobilization of resources to ensure continuity of AutRC programs in Ethiopia. •Successfully developed project proposals leading to secured funding from donors, including ECHO and Red Cross movement • Provided technical and operational advisory support to WASH and health projects• Represented AutRC in Ethiopia at coordination meetings, thematic or sector planning meetings • Networked and liaised with movement partners as well as national stakeholders regarding emergency preparedness, disaster risk reduction and resilience • Managed a successful closure of an EU and other large funding programs including final evaluation, audit and reporting • Ensured thematic sectors and crossing cutting topics of AutRC are effectively mainstreamed within the programme areas suchas gender and inclusion, community engagement and accountability• Supported the development and revision of country security plan and preparedness plan

East Africa

Responsible for the overall implementation of long-term development programmes in East Africa region. Coordinated and supported relief operations, monitored the development of programmes and partnerships as well as activities relating to communication, reporting and fundraising.

Ethiopia

• Provided management, technical oversight and coordination of WASH activities.• Building the skills and capacity of the NS to enable them to manage country level WASH.• Assisted NS to undertake assessments and the development of baseline data to support planning and monitoring of the WASH programme. • Ensured effective programming and quality management through systematized planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting• Supported NS and RC partners to develop a WASH programme with vulnerable communities in the affected area • Provided technical backstopping for HNS and partners in the area of WASH • Represented the NS at sectoral coordination meetings and ensure that WASH activities are well coordinated with the WASH Cluster and other relevant government agencies and maintain effective coordination with other international agencies and NGOs engaged in WASH activities.

Ethiopia

- Supervised and monitored contractors engaged by LWF to ensure work is done as per drawings, technical specification and to the highest quality standard.- Supervised the construction of WASH interventions in strict adherence to standards such as SPHERE, UNHCR and Ethiopian federal government.- Effectively established emergency water supply system and coordinated treatment plant and camp water operations- Served as the focal person for WASH related activities and represented LWF on regular WASH coordination meetings and technical working groups

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
