Prior to 1994 - Melbourne, Australia : Pension Fund Investment Analyst & Administration Manager • Fast tracked through stockbroking, merchant banking and investment banking to set up a new investment management department.• Major achievement was to be headhunted as one of eight key executives asked to join a newly formed investment bank, to create the back office functions for investment funds management. The bank became integrated with Australia’s largest bank, the Commonwealth Bank.• Responsible for a department which grew from 8 staff to over 100 within 18 months.• Transferred by request to investment management within the same department. Responsible foranalysing public company’s performance, visiting companies and interviewing the most senior executives with a view to recommend pension fund investment weightings. Sector responsibility included retail and property.• Resigned to undertake full time study for an MBA, then moved to London.
