About Abraham N.
I am focused on using agent-based modeling to simulate the physiology of (PKC-delta, Somatostatin, and CGRP positive) neurons in the central amygdala (CeA), a brain structure involved in processing pain. Wet lab data from our own and existing research studies of the CeA serve as the ground truth for all model parameters and features.The 3D computational amygdala can be used to predict the outcome of many experimental paradigms within minutes, as opposed to weeks or months of wet lab experimentation. By supplementing or replacing these experiments, agent based modeling can revolutionize the standard approach to research in neuroscience.
