I manage sub grants for partner organisations in Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia. The projects focus on Democracy and Governance with a bias on civic space in the region while enhancing dialogue between civil society actors and their respective governments.I support partners in designing and implementing their projects while providing and oversight role in monitoring & evaluation of the projects. The support is both virtual and physical in-country.I co-published a research report on Why Democracy Matters for Countering Violent Extremism that was published in the organisations website.

Under CHILD RIGHTS, I managed a child rights advocacy project under the network Eastern Africa Child Rights Network (EACRN). I successfully organised and facilitated the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Eastern Africa Child Rights Network (EACRN) General Assembly meetings held in Kigali (2014), Dar es Salaam (2015) and Antananarivo (2016) respectively. I also led advocacy efforts targeting the members of the Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child to give favourable recomendationsUnder the EDUCATION SUPPORT PROGRAM, I successfully raised funds from Open Society Foundation and Wellspring Advisors towards research and advocacy on the role and impact of private actors on the Right to Education. I led the in planning and facilitating the East Africa and Global Consultation on Privatization held in Nairobi, Kenya in September 2016. In addition to that, I was part of the team that led advocacy efforts on the right to education and possible infringement to this right by one of the IFC partners at the World Bank in June 2016, Washington D.C., USA.Under Treaty body reporting, I successfully lobbied members of the Committee who gave favourable recommendations on the issues we were advocating for during the review of Kenya by the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights in Geneva, Switzerland in February 2016. I was part of the team that developed the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) report to the Human Rights Council and represented Kenyan CSOs at the 21st session of the Universal Periodic Review in Geneva, Switzerland in January 2015. In the regional front, I represented Kenyan CSOs at the 1st extra-ordinary session of the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in October 2014. To enhance advocacy, I led efforts to develop an Advocacy Charter for Kenya based on the recommendations from the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC)

I was responsible in the implementation of all I Choose Life Africa Leadership and Governance Programs in several counties. I successfully fundraised Ksh. 8 Million from Swedish Mission Council for a leadership and governance project in Machakos County that was focussed on holding leaders to account. I helped to research and also supported in writing of the book “Kenya Mpya - Holding County and National Leaders to Account” I played a Monitoring and Evaluation role where I was overseeing monitoring of Healthy Choices for a Better Future (An Evidence Based Intervention (EBI) funded by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). I coordinated and supervised over 50 community facilitators, compiled and prepared accurate and timely monthly project reports submitted to the Program Manager. I also conducted Routine Data Quality Assessment (RDQA) with assistance from the Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator to ensure data quality.

I provided leadership in implementation, reporting, monitoring and evaluation of Jadili Project (A USAID funded project advocating for Reforms and Good Governance in Kenya with a primary focus on Leadership in the counties). I also coordinated the four partner organizations in Jadili Coalition while overseeing and supervising 12 Field Officers from 6 Districts I was also responsible for conducting trainings on HIV/AIDS Workplace Policy for all United Nations staff in Kenya at the UN Complex in Gigiri, Mombasa office and Eldoret office
