Led research on the status of protected areas in Myanmar, including Indigenous Community Conserved Areas (ICCA), wrote research report, policy briefs, and project recommendations.

Localized in-country management, ensured compliance with laws and incorporated Landesa’s global financial policies into the Myanmar country office.

Won nine additional grants for MIID totaling USD 2.1mn in new funding, including multiple USAID subgrants. For WWF's new Myanmar office I helped with their strategy for Myanmar policy around infrastructure, agriculture, forestry, fisheries and energy. This includes creating a communications strategy, specific activities to influence policy, representing WWF at events and identifying the key issues on which WWF can have the biggest impact.

J. William Fulbright – Hillary Rodham Clinton Fellows (now called the Fulbright Public Policy Fellowship) serve professional placements in foreign government ministries or institutions. In Myanmar I worked with the local forestry NGO Forest Resources Environment and Development Association (FREDA) on forest law, community development, outreach and reforestation.

Part of a capstone team at Columbia University that built a plan for equitable, ethical and environmentally friendly extraction of Mozambique's coal and natural gas resources.

As the Cordier and Global Public Policy Network (GPPN) Editor I oversaw the Journal's two essay contests including soliciting entries, choosing a winner and overseeing a rigorous editing process. Drug use is a major problem in Yunnan, and Daytop helps drug users with the support to quit drugs and find the skills and employment they need to maintain a drug free life. While still studying Chinese, I provided office support for Chinese staff and former drug addicts including English editing and Chinese-English/English-Chinese translation for scientific reports on antiretroviral therapy.
