Everything we make is a custom product, tailored to the customer’s wishes. As the 3D Printing Engineer you will be part of the production team and help improve experiences for our customers, particularly ensuring that orders are printed to perfection and shipped on time. As 3D Printing Engineer, you report to the Production Team Lead and you will be responsible for the seamless execution to ensure each customer’s creations are produced as quickly as possible. You will provide critical feedback on whether models can be made given varied material parameters. You would also plan production and operate state-of-the-art 3D printing machines. You will be responsible for providing feedback to the team, and hence the community, to enhance our 3D tool set. Together, alongside your colleagues, you will continuously seek to improve product quality and production efficiency.
Operations And New Store Development
My work with the TechShop is focused around three aspects of TechShop company operations. The first sections is the internal TechShop Operations Site. The site is a training and recourse tool for store employees. It has been my job to build and update the site into a usable and powerful tool for the company. The site is build around a Google Sites Platform. The skills and systems integrated are:--Utilizing Cloud storage options for static documents--Embedding documents in "Wiki" formats for information collaboration--Policy Implementation--Developing script and equation based smart Google spreadsheets to aid in store daily operations. Examples include: Inventory/Ordering/Tracking, Pricing of Products, Daily Ops Reports, The second area of focus is Hiring. My job duties have included full circle hiring processes from posting ads, interviewing, hiring and on-boarding. This process has taken place on site in California and on site in other states.The third section of my work relates to new store openings. The background as a Facilities manager and in Operations Development allows me great insight when off site opening new stores. Durring a new store opening process my duties include but are not limited to:--Working with contractors to ensure compliance to blue prints--Working with new hires to develop skills needed to install heavy machinery--Working with new managers to take control of their staff during the transition period--Installation and testing of machinery--Initial training of Customer Service Techniques--Sticking to schedules to ensure company goals are met.

Manager of a team of Facilities Technicians known as "Dream Coaches". These "DCs" were responsible for equipment maintenance, customer service, and class instruction. It was my duty to provide them with the tools and training needed to effectively do their job.
