Successfully developed and led an international team of 11 foreign and Thai staff; coordinated and implemented local, national, and international networking and training events; research coordination and implementation; grant writing; editorial work; technical writing; technical e-mail correspondence; creating technical bulletins, quarterly notes, news pieces, blog posts, videos and periodical updates; overseeing the sustained growth of the ECHO Asia Seed Bank; coordinating interns and volunteers; networking and growing the ECHO Asia network through www.echocommunity.org; and offering regional consultations.

Lead Academic Instructor for “Sustainable Food Systems” course, integrating social and biological factors in sustainable agriculture, part of intensive study-abroad experiential education of North American undergraduate students in and around Chiang Mai, Thailand, for 5 semesters. Lead Academic Instructor for “Human Rights and the Environment” course, integrating human rights and political ecology of watersheds for 3 semesters. While at ISDSI, I also volunteered as a technical and research advisor with the newly-founded ECHO Asia Impact Center.

My responsibilities included: managing an active laboratory; implementing and overseeing greenhouse and field research projects involving graduate students and hourly workers; independent Ph.D. research; and teaching 11 semesters of "Home Vegetable Gardening." My dissertation title was “Canada Thistle Management Systems for Sustainable and Organic Farms” and specializations/interests included: sustainable agriculture, horticulture, weed science, tropical ecology, development theory, and international sustainable development.
