When I joined campus I felt like we needed something to bind us together as techies and creatives. Different people were doing amazing stuffs silently. Even though I was not a techie by then I rose up and mobilized a team of developers and enthusiasts into Bi-weekly meetups to showcase some of the amazing stuffs we are doing and share more. Through this program, we developed a few open source products for the university (who became our largest supporter and financier) This community not only gave me a better way to motivate and help others but also an opportunity to exemplify my leadership to others and mentor a lot of growing folks. Today, the Club remains the backbone of techies in my former university.
