Anna has a track record of success identifying research needs, planning research programs and driving execution to provide high-quality deliverables to the business. With international experience building external partnerships with key stakeholders, Anna excels in developing strategic initiatives in matrixed organizations. With writing and editing expertise, she specializes in distilling complex information into easy-to-understand documents and presentations for colleagues, clients and senior leadership. Anna has 13 peer-reviewed publications and is an experienced proofreader of scientific manuscripts across disciplines. She takes pride in being a team player and values each person's perspective and voice to bring innovation to projects and initiatives.Anna holds a Ph.D. in Computational and Systems Biology with a focus on functional genomics of infectious diseases from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation in Brazil, a highly esteemed public institution for science, technology and innovation in Health in Latin America. She received both her Master of Science and her Bachelors degrees from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, where she developed a strong foundation in molecular biology while investigating molecular mechanisms of carcinogenesis. Anna is a lifelong learner and loves sharing her knowledge with others. She is a frequent mentor cultivating rising talent. She has been honored to serve as an international visiting scientist three times in her career including roles at Leiden University Medical Center in The Netherlands, at the US Public Health Service (Louisiana State University) in Louisiana and at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.
