I became a BNI Area Director by Launching BNI OpenDoors and Creating a BNI Leadership team. I now have 2 Director Consultants and 4 BNI Ambassadors assisting me to serve 5 Chapters and we are busy launching 2 more.

I became the BNI Support Director for BNI Champions, and in doing so I had to step down as a BNI member from BNI Dynamite to support my 4th chapter.

Became the BNI Support Director for BNI Synergy First, this is where my BNI journey started. I transferred as a BNI Chapter member to BNI Dynamite Chapter so that I could become the DC for Synergy First

Launched my first Chapter, BNI Jubilant !, and became the BNI Support Director of BNI Jubilant !

I became a BNI Director Consultant for BNI JHB North & West.

I took over as President, giving me the opportunity to serve my fellow members at the highest level and futher my goal of making an impact in their businesses.

Became a founder member of a new BNI Chapter in Johannesburg. Synergy First Chapter meeting at Jackal Creek Golf Club every Tuesday at 4:15pmWe are a new Chapter and I served on the Leadership as the Vice-President for our inaugural year.

CloudWays' Primary focus is School Network Management and Support.CloudWays was conceived out of Hattingh Technologies. So much of what we have done since 2015 was moving Cloud ways, see the name is prophetic. We still maintain and support networks, but much of our tools and access is via the cloud. Nothing will replace the face to face nature of what we do, but utilizing the cloud in delivering solutions and fast access to new technologies is now standard. Shawn Brown re-joined the team for a period, and long-time members of the team, Bradley Forrester and Phuti Chokoe remain onboard in this new chapter.We have added great people, Michelle and Rainier to move us forward.

My first time running a company solo. I had family support, but had to learn things the hard way. I primarily focused on School Networks, but after 2011, expanded to also support small business networks. The business operated as a one-man-show, that was growing, but shackled by small thinking. During 2015, a new vision was sparked and we started to grow. This allowed us to break free from the one-man-show restrictions, and with my team growing, we re-launched, re-branded at the end of 2017 for a new era.

Shawn Brown and myself, teamed up after Nixam and created BrownHat, a play on our surnames. We primarily maintained School Networks. But at the end of 2004, we each went our own way, both keeping our personal clients.

Some of my most fondest memories. Ian Mansfield and I started Nixam, it was both of us' first venture not as employees. We combined our Wife's names Niqui and Samantha, to create Nixam where X was the arms interlocking.We took Hattech Computers and went out on our own and ran a Corporate IT support and supply company, we opened a retail shop and then later switching to operating as a Computer Retail shop. We also launched an Audio Video arm. In 2000 Ian would take Nixam Audio Video and create Multimedia Entertainment Group and he is still growing in that direction. I would take my IT knowledge and get out of retail and get into Network support. specializing in Schools.

After leaving Rhema, I joined my dad's company. Hattech, and created Hattech Computers. I joined as an employee, but my dad allowed me to run my department like a solo business.

I joined Rhema and headed up their IT Department, after creating it. I also setup their first Corporate network and their first internet and email connectivity. After leaving to start my own business, I continued to support and maintain this network untill they got their own in-house team up and running in 1998.

My first full time job. I was studing at RAU to be an auditor and was bored between classes. I got a job at Computer Distributors as a junior technician and worked, initially part time, around my classes. I dropped out of RAU after six months to work full time. I grew with the business. As it's first full time employee, even the boss had another job at first. By the time I left (4 years later), I had done everything from the bottom to the top with exception of being the actual Boss. I needed to move on. First sideways, as to not setup a competing business, but that was the plan after a year.

During my 1st year studing to be an Auditor at RAU. I got a part time job at Rhema as a bookkeeper in the Tape and Video departments. this was till they could find a fulltime person.
