Developed Mobcentive, Circl.es, Visible Path (spun out and funded), Directly (spun out and funded), BrightLoop (spun out and funded).

Gig + AI Platform for Customer Service. Customers included Airbnb, AT&T and Xbox. Backed by Microsoft, Samsung + top tier silicon valley investors. Acquired by Movate in 2022.

An extraordinary team effort where I had a outsize role in: co-inventing an enterprise gig and AI platform for customer service that has earned 6+ patents; closing or helping close marquee customers like Airbnb, AT&T and Xbox, several with $1M+ annual contracts; raising $40M from top venture firms like True Ventures, Costanoa, Northgate and from corporate VCs like Microsoft and Samsung; leading a 70 person team and recruiting an industry leader (and college classmate) as CEO to scale the company. I then spent roughly six months leading a small team that interviewed 40 customers to define the next generation of our automation products and moved to a strictly board role on the company’s 10th anniversary.

Worked with IDEO and New Venture Partners to launch ShopWell, a web and mobile site focused on personal nutrition and food shopping. I invested in the series a, joined the board, hired the team, ran the company for six months through launch, and sourced a full-time ceo. http://www.shopwell.com

Co-founding chief executive officer of Visible Path, a corporate social networking company funded by Kleiner Perkins and acquired by the Hoovers division of Dun & Bradstreet in January 2008. Developed the concept in conjunction with enterprise interviews, developed patented (#7877266) social applications, hired and build 40-person team in San Francisco, New York and Bangalore. Developed model that drove integrations with Hoovers, Salesforce.com, Oracle CRM, LexisNexis. Acquired by Hoovers in 2008.

CEO and marketing lead for IUMA, one of the first digital music websites. Developed industry first self-service website creation tool that launched 50,000 artist sites. Acquired by EMusic (IPO) in mid 1999. Ran subsidiary as VP & GM through acquisition by Vivendi-Universal in 2001.

Recruited out of school to join R.B. Webber, a strategy consulting firm with a sister venture fund founded by principals from McKinsey, Bain and Boston Consulting Group. Developed sales, marketing, and product strategies for customer service and call center startups like Aurum, Aspect, Genesys, and blue-chip clients like Apple, Compaq, Motorola, Sybase, Sprint. Worked exclusively for client boards and executive teams.

Founded and ran a New Haven based non-profit coordinating cross-country bicycling trips to benefit low-income families and build sustainable home ownership in low-income neighborhoods. The event ran 12 years as one of Habitat's largest affiliate fundraisers and was documented in the movie Hammer & Cycle.
