Provided Political and Policy direction in the allocation of resources for capital programs. Monitored implementation of capital projects and microprojects for rural development. Served as Governor and alternate Governor of the World Bank And Africa Development Bank respectively. Served in the Integrated Council of SADC ministers and also in the special committee for depening of Economic Development and cooperation. Ensured that the budget was in line with the National Development Strategy, Poverty Reduction Strategy and Action plan. Produced the national Development Plan. Served as the Minister responsible of economic cooperation and development with the EU and other donor countries. Ensured that government is updated on the Macroeconomic situation and monitored economic growth etc.
